Enjoy your hobbies in Ramsey and meet likeminded new people

Ramsey provides a stunning backdrop to a wide range of sporting and leisure pursuits. Golfers can enjoy two unique courses plus a driving range, advice from club professionals and competitions at all levels. Pay and play at Old Nene Golf Club or visit Ramsey Golf Club to enjoy a mature 18-hole course.

Ramsey’s Old Nene Golf and Country Club is also home to the Ramsey Ravens Archery Club offering recreational ‘Pay-and-Play’ archery sessions and beginners classes.  For the sharp shooters, a competitive approach to the sport is supported with organised competitions and national tournaments.

Ramsey Golf Club also offers bowls with six rinks, as well as a socially active membership. Meanwhile Ramsey Tennis Club provides numerous courts and a pavilion for a friendly match or two in the summer months.

If coarse fishing is your thing, visit Wade’s in Ramsey to seek out expert fishing tips and take to the riverbanks with Ramsey and District Angling Society. Tench, Bream, Zander and Pike all reside in abundance in the Fenland waterways.

If the weather’s not on your side, One Leisure on Abbey Road has everything you need to stay active indoors. Its popular swimming pool offers a full timetable of different sessions. Children’s activities are sure to keep them entertained, and the centre’s crèche means that parents can enjoy the many fitness classes and well-equipped gym suite.

Fans of racquet sports and a wide range of indoor activities from hockey to roller skating make regular use of the expansive sports hall. A number of outdoor sports from athletics to canoeing also use the centre as their base.
